I've been working in Truckee and I hate eating out. But this place makes food like it's home cooked. If you eat here early between 5:30am-7:00 you a discount on your food. I highly recommend getting the gumbo as a side. I've been telling all of my coworkers about this place. They tried it and they loved it. You won't be disappointed if you do.
Arrived at about 6:30 am for breakfast and the place was slightly busy. Placed the order for egg and it was served as ordered, along with their own home made strawberry jam and nicely baked bread. The interior design was quite unique and the service was quite active and the lady did a great job in checking in more frequently. Also, I had one of the best Americano coffee. Don’t forget to order the cheese, which was great and healthy. I liked the way the invoice was written and described. Thanks to the chef and the support team. Will return for breakfast whenever passing from SLT.
Stopped in on our way back home, and I’m so glad we chose this breakfast spot! Our server (dark hair, glasses—sorry I didn’t catch her name) was fantastic—friendly, genuine, easy to talk to, and made us feel right at home. The food was absolutely delicious, service was quick, everything was clean (even the bathrooms!), and to top it all off, it’s dog-friendly for well-behaved pups. We even got to meet the “door greeter”—the cutest, most polite little dog—who came over, laid by my feet, and completely made my day since I couldn’t bring my own pups on this work trip. Thank you for such a wonderful experience! I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in the area.
Wish I could give them 10 stars! What a great place! The owners came to our table and started a conversation as if we were family, and we felt like family the food was amazing! Service was excellent ( our waitress was very personable and good at her job) and the atmosphere was perfect. They offer half price breakfasts from 5:30ish a.m. to 7:30ish a.m. we will definitely be going back every time we're in this area if you are in the area you must come see these folks!
Favorite family breakfast in Truckee. Food is very good, nearly everything made from scratch and served hot and fast. Service is pleasant and efficient, not fussy. Highly recommend. It can get busy during weekends and holidays with a bit of a wait, but you won't be disappointed!
Excellent breakfast shop and cafe located in Truckee with a variety of delicious omelets, wraps, and skillets for breakfast. Unlike places nearby, there is not an hour wait to be seated here which is great. The food was excellent and their service was nice despite being very busy! The food here for breakfast varied from specialty plates, French toast, kids plates, breakfast burritos, custom omelettes, custom egg and sausage plates, and plenty of coffee. There is definitely something for everyone here. The food quality was excellent. Parking and service were great too. We had no trouble getting a spot and were seated instantly during a busy day. They were very friendly but we did wait a bit to be served due to staffing issues. Otherwise, such a great spot. The location is decorated the American decor and has a lot of personality. I highly recommend this place over other over-hyped locations in the area. Highly worth it for a quality breakfast!
